Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are not supported.
The Hi-Res Wireless logo was an error in the prototype and will be removed in the production version.

It was also shown at the Japanese audio show.
Sound quality evaluation is not recommended due to the prototype.
No one has mentioned USB DAC functionality, so it may not be included or not yet implemented.

I love that dedicated line out port! No need for any more DACs, this one has you covered, direct to any amp's RCA inputs.

Might be interested in this DAP, provided it's USB C can be used to output digital to an external source (say, a Mojo2, for example). Gonna subscribe to this thread to follow along; I like this smaller form factor. I mentioned in another thread that the RS, design-wise, kinda sorta reminds me of the Redwine Audio-modded Astell & Kern AK100 I owned ~9 years ago.

Usb-c is fundamental. Without this port and only with memory card is an obsolete product

Looks interesting.

Was hoping someone would produce a dual micro-SD transport. I've got the Tempotec V1 and love it. Wanted to get another one but as it's discontinued the remaining ones are going for a hell of a lot more than I'm willing to pay. Tempotec's next Variations is the V6 which is soon going to kickstarter and it looks like a full-blown DAP with a single micro-SD slot, not what I need.

Hope it does have Bluetooth, but can live without it if needed.

I wonder if any RF interferes with the resistors in the R2-R ladder? I could have used wifi, but that only for over-the-air updates.

My wallet weeps.
This is almost exactly what I'm looking for in a DAP; small, 4.4, and the dial is a nice touch.
I wish it also had a 2.5mm port, and I hate the glossy front, but you can't have it all (well, almost...looking at you, A&K SR25mk2).
If they nail the battery life on this, I might pick one up.

That $500 price rumour is kind of hard to swallow though.

Looks interesting.

Very interesting. If that comes through at the rumoured $300 (via the one source I quickly glanced at) it'll probably be added to my buy list.
Is the single microSD the only thing holding you back? Any particular reason you really need 2?

Definitely has my attention. If this is essentially the RS6 without all the bells and whistles, I may not be able to resist. Looks bigger than the R3 to me, especially in thickness. Also looks like the perfect gym companion. Too many daps hitting the market around the same time. The new Shanling M6 Ultra looks super sweet too.

Regarding the SQ, I saw just one comments in a Chinese forum that it sounds better than R5 mk2 from the demo in Chendu audio show. If this is the case, it will be a perfect DAP for my needs, truely ultra-portable with minimal sacrfice on SQ to play internal playlist.
