Why 600 DPI? Are you printing your cover afterwards? The hiby screen cannot display more than 443 ppi.
All my covers have a size by 500*500*180 dpi
I tried 500 x 500 pixel at 300dpi and 1400 x 1400 pixel at 300dpi on the new R6 and one can sees the difference. Apparently 1400 pixel has more details and looks better.

I wish battery life was better on this. 10 hours on my ak SR15 is annoying. May need to get R5 instead for more battery but less power
Try battery saver mode, shorter display time out, smaller files and high gain. Gain is likely controlled by feedback and less feedback(more gain) tends to be more efficient.

You mean on r6?
I don't have it yet as battery life seems not much better than SR 15
I see but if you find 10 hrs annoying, you are going to be out of luck on premium players that use more resources since they have a performance emphasis. At least this one can charge quickly.

Greetings Animagus. Have you compared to or have an opinion on the comparison with the AK SR-25? Similar prices ranges and capabilities.? Thank you for a great, thorough, and informative review... (Love the Twister6 reviews...)

Cheers

True but I don't need to drive headphones really. Only IEMs so something like R5 should do in terms of power

I went from an R5 to the new R6, the R6 is so much better to use. Battery-wise, if you use the R6 single ended with battery saving mode on it's barely a few hours less of power and it charges so much faster it's hardly noticeable. You won't go wrong with either, but I would definitely recommend the R6 as a better experience overall.

Hey there! Thank you! Sorry, I don't have the SR25 since Alex reviewed that. You should ping him and ask since he has experience with both. But based on specifications and comparisons Alex did with other DAPs in his review that I have too, R6 2020 is the more advanced DAP out of the two. PM Alex here @twister6 with whatever questions you may have regarding the SR25. He'll be able to answer them better for you. Cheers!

Could you please compare sound R5 with new R6? I thinking about moving from R5 and not sure is it worth $400 diff. I've read the whole topic, but will be great to hear from R5 owner how much better new R6 in sound quality. I'm using R5 with Fostex T60RP balanced cable, sometimes with Sony WH-1000XM2 with regular cable. Listen mostly streaming service Tidal Master, but after MQA story moved back to Deezer HiFi. Honestly, I've tried to hear difference between hi-res 24/96 or 24/48 with flac 16/44, but I don't. Maybe the problem in my ears or maybe the current setup couldn't show difference.
