PayPal is your friend if you shop over seas. If you check back in this thread, I had a spot of bother with a Chinese vendor and filed a dispute/claim with PayPal. The vendors want to continue to have PayPal. I ended up getting a refund from PayPal and ordering from MusicTeck.

Paypal requires a return. Not always feasible or cost effective with Chinese vendors. I'm well aware of all these points.
Just thought I could help.

So local streaming HiDef works great with UAPP app on R6. I can easily hear the character difference between my dedicated Naim server (better) and minimserver installed in my Synology NAS. 24/192 is no issue here for me and quite revealing.
Yes, I know both servers are bit perfect. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I suspect I should do something about the balanced thing so as to break it in properly. Maybe I'll get a plug off ebay and wire something up.

Done.:relaxed:

I just saw someone mention hiby was able to bypass android resampling for all applications. Anyone with roon mind commenting on if this works? Because if it does this is litteraly the only dap on the market that can play roon w/o resampling

I just tried. It is converting everything to 44.1 on my R6 2020.

Huh. That's especially weird since standard android converts everything to 48. Im assuming you tried some higher/different sample rate songs?

Yes, I tried 96 and 192 as well as MQA 48. Roon is doing the conversion. I have no idea why 44.1 unless it doesn't know how to detect supported bit rates. Roon's android app is a big disappointment.

wouldnt that be funny as hell. Someone fixes android and roons app still brakes it.

This will be my first DAP so I want to get it right the first time. Have been using Android OTG with my chord mojo dac/amp. I just need to clarify something. I've been reading reviews and watching videos on dozens of different DAP's. I can't remember which one, wish I would have written it down, but it said all your files need to be renamed or change tags or something. I don't want to go down that road. I know they say you can do them in batches and such but I still don't want to go down that road. Not sure I would do it this way, but for the sake of argument could I pull the micro SD card out of my phone and put it in the R6 and be good to go? Thanks in advance

So, you just transferred album/song files to your phone micro SD card and they work on your phone. The same micro SD card should also work on your R6 DAP.

Thank you. I was pretty sure that would be the case but don't want to take any chances. Like I said there was a certain DAP that wouldn't work that way and I can't remember which one it is. Maybe the Cowon because I don't think it's Android based. Or it could have been a Sony. Kind of a big decision for me because I'm so happy with using UAPP with my Android phone. The other possibility is the iFi micro iDSD signature dac/amp that I am also considering. Waiting to hear some more reviews on that and a new amp they make called the Diablo

The R6 2020 works perfectly with the same file naming and tagging that I always use for PC, iPhone, other DAPs, etc.
Thank you. My intention is to mostly use whatever I buy with my new Dunu Zen IEM's but would like something that is capable to drive my full range of headphones including my over-the-ear cans. Some also speak highly of the Sony NW-WM1A. I'm sure it's good also but 50% more expensive. I have a hard time believing it's 50% better but welcome opinions on that subject
