I haven’t yet sorted the missing recovery issue but I will say this little puppy sounds splendid. At first it was a bit sharp and over analytical but by day 2 and onward this sound is perfect for my tastes. Has this version been out long or is it a reconfigured new one. Mine was a pre-order but I thought these versions were out for quite awhile? Is this ESS SABRE DAC chip new or is it like all the others?

Like I mentioned in an earlier post I’m new to Hiby.

The R3pro Saber uses the ESS Sabre ES9218P DAC+amp. Other versions of the R3 / R3pro had different configurations.

Welcome :)

I tested what I could for you.

MacBook bluetooth - R3Pro - USB cable - Dragonfly - iem. This configuration worked with no issues. Note that bluetooth was SBC, not AAC. Depending on your phone you may be able to use other codecs for BT.

There is also a coax cable connection method, but you weren't specific on either your phone or dongle/amp/DAC.

Hello.

I am trying to install custom theme on my R3 Pro.

Theme:
https://github.com/7490212774519684/ipod-revival-modern
Instruction:
https://github.com/7490212774519684/ipod-revival-modern/wiki/installation

Windows 10 64 bit.

I am currently on 1.5 firmware.

I've installed all required data from here:

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1d8hAzMUYp4aBZNs04__Za6pRcaT7vhnp

My first problem: looks like liteGUI.exe program is not starting on my machine. When accessing as in manual via r3pro.bat file, executable window is opening for a short time and automatically closes. I've checked .bat commands and found that it is starting liteGUI.exe I've got two missing dll files: "ssleay32.dll" as first and "vld_x86.dll" as second. Both files were downloaded from the net and placed in the C:/Windows directory, second was placed into C:/Windows/SysWOW64. After all, liteGUI.exe is still not starting, now I've got error saing that "application was not propelry started" with error code 0xc000007b.

Any suggestions?

Edit:
Okay I've found a solution for running r3pro.bat file in Youtube:

Okay after a day or two i figured it out for the HiBy R3 Pro for the r3pro.bat and Theme compression pack.bat to work.
1. copy and paste the contents of
\r3pro_en_simulation_v1.0\【03】Instruction directory\data
and paste into
\r3pro_en_simulation_v1.0\í+03í+Instruction directory\data
2. Rename the folder (í+03í+Instruction directory) (i know it says not to but do it)
3. Then navigate to Theme compression pack.bat
\r3pro_en_simulation_v1.0\í+04í+Compressed theme pack\(2) Compressed theme pack
right click and edit Theme compression pack.bat (using notepad)
4. Find
set base_dir="../../¡¾03¡¿Instruction directory"
and rename
¡¾03¡¿Instruction directory
to the name of the folder from step 2.
save and exit.

You should be able to run Theme compression pack.bat now.
check your custom skins with r3pro.bat
and make sure to change Version.txt keep as 1.0 to check with r3pro.bat (litegui/emulator)
then change to your device version when ready to install theme on device and run Theme compression pack.bat again for you .t file

Unfortunatelly ipod-modern theme is not working with my device. Maybe it is not compatible with 1.5 firmware? Would someone be so kind and check on other device / firmware, please?

I share some themes that I edit from others to see what you think, the ones named fullcover do not have the option to see the lyrics and the option to see the properties of the song by aesthetic theme

Hello,

I am trying to prepare my own theme for R3 Pro.
I picked "Arena 51" theme, decompressed it, made a few changes, compressed again.

However nothing changed in simulator.
When I decompressed the new theme I noticed that the changes were reset.
For example I cleared "album_shadow" to be totally transparent - after compression//decompression it looks at it was in the beginning.

Can anyone help me with this? I suppose that I do not prepare the changes as I should.

Sorry man, I am not using R3 anymore, but for me first and second looks great - especially full cover version. Good work!

I just wanted to show(off) the theme I made for the HiBy R3 (Pro/saber) player.
I did not like the userinterface all that much, so I tried to improve it :)

If you want to give it a try see the github for download/installation:
https://github.com/FaBjE/HiBy-Theme-MaterialDesign

Screenshots available: https://github.com/FaBjE/HiBy-Theme-MaterialDesign#screenshots

If you have any issues with the theme/GUI in general let me know and I try to fix them :)

Note: Repository also contains a fixed/improved theme development "kit". Feel free to fork if you only want to use that.

Is it possible to use your theme as a "base" and change many of the pictures attached like we can with the default themes? I love this look but want to add some of my own flair.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean. My theme is the same as other themes apart from that I changed a lot of the source files.
You can still change any picture file included in the theme.
If you can give me an example what you are trying to achieve maybe I can give you some more direct instructions.

The "official" way would be to checkout the GIT repository or download a snapshot, tinker around and run the buildscript to generate a new theme file.

The "hands on" approach could be to just rename the theme file to a .zip file and edit that (And rename it back to use on the device off course)

ended up figuring it out a few images have had their sizings shifted from the base skin but nothing drastic. Loving the look thanks for your work!
