In any case, all these impressions are very intriguing, because in my library there are enough albums with not the best recording quality. So I don't need extra detail (I'm not a sound engineer, lol), I'm looking for a more emotional and dense sound, so as not to get hung up on the quality of the recording. I feel that with my DX160 listening to some albums is already on the verge of comfort due to the overall tonality of this player.

The thing is, a lot of great albums in my favorite genres don't always have perfect mastering. C'est la vie.

Thank you! Is this FPGA implemented similarly on the R8 ? Or under a very different role
Well the RS6 was the first R player with the Darwin architecture. The Darwin architecture is not specific to R2R and being able to use uploaded FIR filters was one of the new features of this architecture over anything before it including the R8.

Thank you! The reason I asked was because the R8 can also see this features as well, and I wonder if it would work

Sorry what do you mean "can also see this feature"?

I mean would this feature work in the R8 as you mentioned that Darwin is not specific to R2R, with FPGA built in by the R8 as well. If it does , would the R8 see this feature?
I see. No, as far as I know the R8 would be limited to the low pass filters available as part of its built in DAC

Thank you. I thought AK4497EQ can also take external LPF as well, but I understand. That is too bad. Thanks for the confirmations
Well, anything is possible. You can conceivably upsample everything to 768kHz and apply lowpass in software on everything before sending it to the DAC. But the thing is, the AK4497EQ has its own built-in post-decoding LPF of which you can choose between a few, but in any case you would be doubling up LPFs in this theoretical case.

Got it! Now I understand. Thank you so much for your detailed answer
