Well, I got #53 today and it also reads F1 on both cups? Otherwise, construction and finish are excellent; really a fine product that feels solid and functional.
No one has bothered to ask the OP how they sound. They are exceptional. I've owned HF-1s (still have), RS-1s, and PS-1s, and I'll agree with others; they are on the verge of becoming my favorite Grado. Liquid and analog-sounding mids, clear extended highs, well-defined bass. Great balance, imaging, and neutrality.
Comfort-wise, it's like my (ex) ps-1s were slimmed down and lightened up. Weight while wearing is very comfortable. Zero fatigue.
Am I sending them back? no effing way, this serial number sounds too good to care. I plan to just wear and enjoy. They are a fun, fun can and a bargain in the audio world.
I'm sure it'll all be straightened out, and some will own the formula series... 8~)
Thanks, Todd!
