HF-2!!!

Well, I got #53 today and it also reads F1 on both cups? Otherwise, construction and finish are excellent; really a fine product that feels solid and functional.

No one has bothered to ask the OP how they sound. They are exceptional. I've owned HF-1s (still have), RS-1s, and PS-1s, and I'll agree with others; they are on the verge of becoming my favorite Grado. Liquid and analog-sounding mids, clear extended highs, well-defined bass. Great balance, imaging, and neutrality.

Comfort-wise, it's like my (ex) ps-1s were slimmed down and lightened up. Weight while wearing is very comfortable. Zero fatigue.

Am I sending them back? no effing way, this serial number sounds too good to care. I plan to just wear and enjoy. They are a fun, fun can and a bargain in the audio world.

I'm sure it'll all be straightened out, and some will own the formula series... 8~)

Thanks, Todd!

Wait, Dave...now more confusion.

H1 or F1???

Either way, this is a tragic mistake for all parties involved

Manufacturing and distribution can have so many hardship obstacles.

I know it won't effect the SQ with the misspelling, but it doesn't say much about the quality control at the engravers or grado that nobody picked up on the mistake before they were shipped.

Hope my pair are OK.

You know I hadn't noticed before either but indeed #63 - HEAD-F1.

It's kind of a weak joke to point out that F1 is normally the help key for the application with focus

There is a very high probability that this is the case.

Lol, maybe first batch is all F1 headphones...

Edit: and I am part of 1st batch ... Damn now the wait is even more painful...

I must say I am surprised something like this could happen, especially on a limited edition. In the case of coins, unusual strikings like this adds value but I can't say that would be true here.

Or "Head-HF1"

Anyway good to hear impressions seems to be ok on SQ. But I know this may seem blunt but waiting a bit longer seems to be more acceptable now.
