There's a burn-in FAQ that used to be stickied in the full-size forum. I'm sure you can still find it via search. Really, just use the earphones. Burn-in is inevitable and how you do it doesn't matter, at least not at the PL21 level.

burn in you can largely ignore but if you want to do it all you do is play music through them like you would if they were in your ears.  doing so over night can really clock up hours quickly.
 
but like i said dont worry about it, just stick them in your ears and enjoy
