After reading so much reviews I get confused.
My budget is around 500$, please suggest a suitable amp for my dt990
I use dacmagic as source.

You can get a half-way decent single tube headphone amplifier off eBay (ships from China), for $95.

The Schiit LYR are very powerfull and fully balanced, detailed AMPs highly recommened, Matrix Quattro are also very good sounding AMPs.

For a little more there is the La Figaro 339 that I have and sounds wonderfull with my DT880/600.

I do know that LYR is powerful, but is that a little bit bright for dt990

I'm 99,9% sure that I bought mine from wsz0304 at eBay.
Take a look at the thread of this amp, there are a lot of information and not a single complaint.

There are lot's of choices. Just decide on ss or tube. Then read the reviews and shop for best price. For my money, I like the Schitt line for your budget.
 
For less money, a lot less, the fiio e17 drives those quite well.
