I would really recommend the Superlux hd681 EVO (not the old 681 which sounds like nails on a chalkboard) for 40$ from audiohipster. They have the same form factor as the Samson so they don't fold and are bulky BUT the sound quality is amazing for the price. They sound airy, with deep bass and silky smooth treble. So it doesn't have peaky highs. The comfort is better than the previous hd681 thanks to the better headband system. 
 
The UR55 would be my second choice, but only if you do the grille mod. Otherwise it's a mediocre headphone.
 
My third choice would be the JVC s400 with the blu tak mod which makes a HUGE difference with these headphones.
