Hi,
Im a newbie here and about to buy my first headphones so please help me...currently using JBL Reference 220's. Going to be using them with my Ipod Classic.
I'm a listener of hip hop and some rock. I've picked these headphones:
 
Audio Technica ATH-ANC7b
Sennheiser HD280+ HD380
Audio Technica ATH-M50
Denin DN-Hp1000
Shure SRH 440
 
 
What I'm looking for in the headphones are:
a)Portability because I'm going to be using these mostly outdoors
b) Preferably a detachable jack cable however this can be neglected.
c) Sound that will suit my Hip hop and Rock music needs.
d) style, over ear cans
 
Which of these would you recommend? If not suggest alternative

 
Another question: Is noise cancellation worth it? or simply closed back enough? because I'll be moving around a lot in the city...

What is your budget for buying new headphones? 
 
Because you will be moving around the city a lot, you'll probably want the option of being more aware of your surroundings. It seems to me closed headphones would allow for this option better than noise canceling headphones or IEMs. You turn the volume up a little to help block external noise, and turn it down when when wanting to be more aware of your surroundings.

Honestly i'm not sure on the budget yet. I was thinking which one is the best on that list? but we're looking maximum of $180
