Hey people
smily_headphones1.gif

So i've been reading alot about these Sennheiser HD 228 cans, and i seem to have found MANY positive reviews..
My current headphone is the sennheiser px200, but the cable and the left hearing pad is broken, so i'm out looking for a new set of cans!

What i would love to know is that... are the HD 228 an upgrade from my current px200? - in form of bass, SQ, durability?

Any answer is much appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: PX200 vs HD 228

Regardring the HD 228 - after you've found the sweetspot (from which i've read you have to slide the cans just a bit to the rear of your ear) and after you have removed the center foam..

I'd say go for it
I've tried it, and it's not bad.
Very good in the comfort section, and if your ears are small enough, the isolation is very good too.

I'ts not as compact though, since it does not fold.

Hi kimmiboy2,

The HD 228 has a stronger bass than the PX 200. With its relatively larger ear pads, it is also more comfortable especially to those with larger ears.

The PX 200 (or the newer PX 200-II) offers a more linear sound as well as convenience (i.e. volume control, fold and flip design, pouch).
