Hi! I've been looking into some new headphones and I came across this site :) I need some new cans :p Anyways, I currently own the Beats Studio with I do not like at all. Now I realize I could have got some really nice headphones for that price. Anyways I mostly listen to EVERYTHING but I don't want a headset that lacks bass. But I do understand that bass isn't everything in music. My library consists of underground rap (OFWGKTA), Indie Pop (Metronomy, Wu Lyf), Rock (RHCP, Radiohead), Dubstep (Nero, Skrillex), Rap (Kanye West, Jay-Z), Some classical music too :)

I posted this on the headphones thread but didn't get a big response

Music genres: Pretty much everything. Not gonna lie. Heavy rap - dubstep - indie pop - electronica - classical music - rock - heavy rock - funk

Portable: I just want good quality.

Price range:  Total budget is $100-150 usd.  (Preferably 100)

Amped: Probably not.

Closed/Open: Closed.

Looks: As long as they aren't ugly :)

I was thinking Grado SR60is, but they do leak allot. Is there a closed set that are pretty amazing sound quality for that price?

Thanks allot :)

PS: Im also from OCN :O

ATH-M50

Grado are good for rock/electronic but somehow rap seems dead through them.

M50's don't need a amp, can be run by anything gives you that bass you need. Yes people say they have more bass then needed, but you can EQ that out.

make sure you know there are two versions, one with straight cable and another with coiled
