is there any difference between A700 and AD700?

Maybe up to like 420$? As long as I really get quality with a reasonable price I'm happy

I bought the AD700 for better soundquality and positioning apparently, even though the A700 looks 100 times better.

also, since I've been looking around for headphones and quality audio, I see alot of people using amplifiers and it looks pretty exciting. Is that out of my league? Do i want one?

Drivers are the "speakers" which have magnets on them like any other speaker. You don't need an amplifier. Be happy and enjoy the music.
