Headphones - WORN!!! - new thread - no nudity

I'm not really saying that. Heh I know the "..." is ambiguous and all. I was just under the impression that that's what the OP was going for a "clean" thread. And also minimizing risk of getting locked again.

That's my point. Why exactly is the display of some human skin considered dirty?

Sigh that's exactly why clean is in quotes. Never said it was dirty, not disagreeing or agreeing with you. I'm just pointing out the title of the thread and the OP.

anyway back on topic

The point is that the title of this thread stated clearly 'no nudity' so respect the OP. If you feel the need to post pics with nudity then create your own thread and knock(er) yourself out. I'd probably check it out once in a while.

I don't think there needs to be any debate on whether nudity is right or wrong as this isn't the venue for it. The previous thread was locked for nudity so obviously the owner/admins don't want nudity and the OP was clear in the intent. The owners of head-fi probably realize many underage people frequent this site. There is clearly no shortage of places on the interwebs to find tits.

First, you're talking about porn, so don't mix things. Second, I haven't posted any content that passed the explicit mark.

well I'm not sure how women look at shirtless men, but I'm pretty sure most headfiers wouldn't mind looking at shirtless women. so unless social perspective on what breasts are change drastically, most women would prefer to keep them covered, then again, dress codes are becoming looser and looser as time pasts

Indeed. And I don't feel that dress code evolution will be as cyclic as some of the fashion rehashing that seems to even follow a measured timeline.

But the poster above does have a point, so I won't (slightly) derail the thread anymore.

Some relevant humor for you all. It is a little... crude (Fbomn dropped, a little twisted, but oh so true)
(do I really have to worry about political correctness on a head-fi thread?)

EDIT:hid this cuz I feel like I'm adding fuel to the fire at this point

Why is it when a picture of a man with bared chest is okay but it is not okay with a woman?

I wouldn't want to see most American men's bared chest, heh.

Guys there is no one answer. I mean most of your questions, at least to me, sound almost rhetorical. That's just the way society evolved in America. It's culture. On one side of the spectrum, you have cultures that don't even allow women to show their face and on the other side you have European nude beaches. You'll see causes and relevant facts all throughout America's history and I could literally write a 50 page essay on it.

But I will say this, what I believe is that the root fear that causes this phenomena is due to parents wanting to protect their children from sexuality. Sexuality is natural but the parents are also justified in their fears. This manifests sexuality into something that is a taboo as the generation grows and the cycle repeats itself. I'm not going to say that religion has no part in repressing sexuality but religion's influence on today's society seems to be waning fast (internally not internationally).

but ANYWAY this forum is not the place to discuss phillisophical/phycological/sociological matters (yes my spelling is horrid)

I may be reposting an old one but this thread is long

yessss but wait, I see cans but no headphones! YOU'RE NOT FOLLOWING THE RULES! heh
@Roller
Well nudity is the issue here and America is one of the few free nations where censorship is relatively strict. Canada, most of Europe, Japan, korea? (I should know being a first generation korean american lol) are much more lenient in the censorship of nudity and open-mindedness to sexuality. I'm not too sure on South America or Africa or the rest of Asia.

But thats just an excuse, I did pretty much blank on that fact that headfi is international

As for the line... The OP said the previous thread was locked for pics that were "almolst nude". Not too clear on that but I'm taking it as not sketchy, totally safe for work.

I find it curious as to how did the whole mixed process of both "modernizing" clothing and sexuality attitude evolved over the course of years, decades and perhaps even centuries.

Also, mystery headphones:
