I am replacing my panasonic htf 600 they were great basically I am looking for decent bass and just good overall sound quality.
I am not sure where to even start to search so i will start here

For that budget, my recommendation for sub-$100 headphones would be the Philips Citiscape Uptowns:

For $60 you can get the Noontec Zoro or the HD version if you don't mind the Beats derived design.  They are often on sale on Tanga for that much.

I can strongly recommend the SR80i

I'd recommend the SR80i also. It was the pair that introduced me to the hi fi world of headphones. They are fun sounding and easy to drive headphones.

Open or closed?  If you're okay with open, the Superlux HD-681 EVO are really nice and only $40. The current ones should come with a set of velour pads as well as pleather (at least my order from Amazon did).
 
The DJ100 are closed and also $40 right now, which is a bargain. They aren't bass-heavy, but the bass is nice. They do react better with an amp, and the uncomfortable earpads should be replaced right away.
