Hey guys
I am trying to find good headphones and the only ones i know of are beats by dre but im sure there are better headphones you can get for 300 dollars which is my price range. I want closed headphones not the earbuds you inject into your ear. I am mostly going to use these head phones for indie alternative styled music that incorporates a lot of atmospheric sounds and at times bass (bands like Interpol). Noise canceling is also a must.
I will mostly be using them on an ipod and my music is all in mp3 320 kbps
Portability is NOT a concern

You might want to reconsider using your ipod. You say portability is not an option, why? Maybe it would be better to get a higher end music player because the source of a n ipod isn't what it should be when paired with high end phones.

How about the audio technica line of portable headphones
they are within your budget and have gotten good reviews
