Headphones for metal music - ultimate solution

Reading this forum, the LCD-2 and LCD-2C are highly recommended for metal, but what about the LCD-X, Sundara, and Ananda? I own a pair of Beyerdynamic T1s running through a lyr 2/bifrost schiit stack. I've also owned HD650s before moving on to the T1s. I do miss the bass from those headphones, but I enjoy the all-around presence of the T1. Which of those, including the LCD-2 and LCD-2C, would complement the T1s or even sound better? Also, which translates best into movies and gaming as well?

I'll be giving the LCD-2 Classics a shot this week. They will have to deal with a pretty wide range of metal music, from the progenitors to modern metal, as well as PC gaming and the endless telework teleconferences. I'm using HE400i's and a Steelseries Arctis 7 Wireless headset to handle things, but I want to see how the LCD-2C, and a Mod Mic Uni, handles this workload.

is there a more updated version of this?

My updated version of this is to get a Beyerdynamic DT880 250 ohm and see what you really want from your metal music, which can be found here:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/beyerdynamic-DT-880-PRO-Headset/dp/B001B1QENY

I think that the DT880 is better suited for metal than the Sennheiser HD600 and you will need to pay a good deal more than the DT880 to get better for metal, like the Blon B20, which can be found here:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/BLON-B20-Full-Size-Magnetic-Headphone/dp/B07WH1GFXP

You would need something that is not just good with bass and treble, but also something clear to hear what they are saying, like death metal. Clarity is what makes the DT880 and B20 great choices for death metal.

Mostly into power/symphonic, being the two most important genres for me. My main worry is that the 880s are not given a glowing review in the original graph, I also don't think I can drive headphones that hard yet (only have a pm6005), the other ones look cool though, but are at the top top top end of my budget and I'd rather not spend that much unless the phones are sticking with me for a decade.

Death metal isn't something I listen to, I actively avoid any song with that kinda screamy vocals haha.

Well, the DT880 also comes in 32 ohms and can be driven by the Marantz PM6005 well. You can find it here:

Hopefully this place is close to you, as you can try their stuff out and see what is treble-friendly for you:

Been looking for places for ages to try stuff. Unfortunately they are about a 3 hour train ride away. It may be worth it if i don't decide on anything but thats a *long* way to go for a 30 minute demo session.

Outside of London, I shot those guys an email anyway, the way it's worded on their site hints that they have a mobile unit that is near london sometimes. That may be best.

Yeah, CanJam London does not look like that it is happening this year, so I found an older post with some shops that you can go to demo:

https://www.head-fi.org/threads/london-uk-shops-to-try-out-headphones.749557/

One place not listed is Audio Sanctuary:

https://www.audiosanctuary.co.uk/

Another place not listed is Hifi Lounge:

https://hifilounge.co.uk/

I know that there is Curry’s and John Lewis, but they are more mainstream. Either way, let us know about your trips to demo whatever. :)
