So a friend of mine is looking for some headphones, and I don't have a very good idea what to advise him. So maybe someone here has an idea .
 
He's searching for an open, circumaural headphone for on the go. He mainly listens to metal, hard-rock, that kinda thing. His budget is about a hundred euro's (~150$). 
 
Myself, I was thinking Grado's, even though they aren't circumaural.

great for metal and rock
cups can swivel so they lay flat on chest when you turn them down on your neck
 
I use my Grados as a portable. Some people here will argue that you need a closed can, but hey, they are just insecure about their music preference. I like my grados for portable because the shorter cord, and I can slid them on my neck and still hear the music play, just lightly, but enough to keep my position in the track.
