Hi all, What type of headphone characteristics are good for R&B type songs? Ive tries Beats Pro and i thought they were too piercing when listening to vocals in R&B and apparently they're too bright sounding. So does that mean R&B type songs require warmer sounds? Help greatly appreciated. Thanks guys

Hmm, good question!  I would say a headphone that has both bass impact and extension(sub bass), slightly rolled off highs(decreased treble) and just enough midrange so vocals don't sound distant.  You're right in thinking a warmer sound signature would work better with R & B.

So the highs in songs don't sound harsh or piercing.
