I would have Justin mod it just to be safe. That way it should not have any problems if you change devices.

It does not have an optical in. It is a great amp and should be a great fit for the 16's.

It seems that when I use dac+amp, 12o'clock position is loud enough for my HD600. However, if using amp only (iphone 4S line-out), at least 15o'clock. And if using the headphone output of my ipad mini (although nobody will do that basically), I have to turn the knob to largest.
WHY?

i use picoslim with alphadog. it's nice. picoslim is small brother, so another pico will be no problem to drive maddog.

Looking for an amp/DAC combo for office and light portable use, thinking the Pico may fit the bill. Given that it will probably spend the majority of its time at the office, should I be concerned with overcharging the battery? If overcharging is a concern, is the battery pack removable? Thanks!
