I don't suppose there are any plans to update/evolve this model? I do appreciate that you've upgraded the battery (did a quick search of this thread for updates/upgrades). However, surely in the 5 years since this was released, there might be plans/thoughts about upgrade to the WM8741 (or even a superior chip from another DAC manufacturer?), or even better, to look into dual WM8741s? I know power is always an issue with these kind of ideas for the ideal portable desktop replacement all-in-one device, however there must have been developments in battery technology over the last few years which could make this feasible?

Edit: Not to take anything away from the current Pico DAC/Amp. By all accounts it's extremely well regarded (after extensive real world testing) by the head-fi community.

I am interested in this as well. If the new Pico Power came with a DAC, i would preorder that. As it stands, looking seriously at the Pico DAC/AMP and the RSA predator - really want a DAC for use with portable laptop setup.

These connectors are commonly called "line out docks" or LOD's.  It allows you to take the audio line out signal from the 30 pin connector.  You could also use a mini to mini cable and run from the HPO (head phone out) to the amp, but using the line out is generally preferred.

You can find these connectors almost anywhere nowadays, and the price can range from affordable to very expensive.  Some random examples:
