yes the batteries are replaceable. they are not soldered in place

no, you would have to get it from me. It's very, very unlikely you will find a 7.4v li-ion/li-po pack of the appropriate size with the same connector and pin-out.

I am really sad to see the lack of Pico's in peoples rigs! I'd left Head-Fi back in 2009, and I rejoined now and the first thing I bought was a Pico!
 
@justin w. will the Pico Amp/DAC be sufficient to drive full-sized headphones like AKG K712, or HD800s?

I'm not really sure where to post this so I guess I'll post it here. Does the built in DAC work when you connect the amp through the 3.5mm jacks or do you need to run it through the usb to get the DAC working?

My Pico dac amp just stopped working; it's been performing awesome up to that point.
Wonderng what the best course of action is? Can I send it out to you for inspection?
Obviously I'll cover all costs associated.
