I get the feeling the LCD-2 waiting list is gonna be very long.  People borrowing it are probably going to get a week at max.

a week is too long for them to get to everyone.  consider this like a head-fi meet brought to your home, not a free rental service

That souds good. $10-$20 to hear them.

What case or protection will they ship with. I fear tey may be a bit heavey?

I would have to drop out if the cost is above $30 though as I am going to a meet soon. I have some things im working on that some funds are needed in.

i'm kicking this off tomorrow with the HE-500.

Order of HE-500 shipping:

rs01 / Pennsylvania
Jibrille / New York
keithpgdrb / Illinois
Levaix / Illinois
hifihead / Georgia
Failed Engineer / Texas
Pelli / Utah
Johnman1116 / SoCal
Hiyono / SoCal
dsaito16 / NorCal
l0rdr0ck / NorCal

Also, i have disabled sign-ups for everything except the Hifiman HE-400, as there are already lots of names (over 10 for the HE-500, and over 20 for the LCD-2).  The Stax SRS-002 portable system has 6 signups but I'm waiting to hear back from Stax about getting sets of ear tips to include.  Each person may have to buy a set of tips as I dont think they're going to give them to me for free.

Hmmm, is it possible to change from the LCD2 to the HE-400? I won't actually ever buy the LCD2 but I'd definitely consider the 400s.

What kind of tips are they? Couldn't the next person just sanitize them?

I'm glad I just wanted to try the HE-400 to see what all the hubub is about. The LCD-2 has always intrigued me, but I don't need to be tempted to buy $1000 cans anytime soon.

I'd recommend this for sure. I am in LOVE with my HE-400's. They won't disappoint, I'm fairly sure you'll want to buy a pair shortly after. The hubbub and rave reviews are pretty accurate. I'd go for it!

There's always the cable company's headphone loaner program as well.  I think there's a reason why people are up in arms over this and not that one as much, because the 10% of high end headphones actually means something to a lot of people.  For that, I am very grateful to Justin, it means a lot to us.  I personally don't rack up 1000 dollars at the bar :p

no one is up in arms over this except for you and your whining about shipping costs.

OK Justin - so what if this happens....

I get the ??? headphone after say about 5 others.  I really like it because it all so called "burnt in"   Now I want to buy it.  What's the process?

Bad news for the next person..
