I am 15, and will turn 16 next month. Haven't spent too much, since I've sold most of my equipment to fund other purchases. Quite content with my E500's and iPod for just now. Once I get putting a new computer together, I'm sure I'll get back into headphones and such.

I can probably estimate the amount that I've spent (dont' really want to) at around 3K, but the whole audio thing started when I got my hands on sony mzr70 minidisc player and etymotic er6 around 5/6(?) years ago, the one that came with the vertical "slot-loading" earphones w/ headband. Then I moved up to the etymotic er6, but the discomfort kept me away for another few years until I found myself an internship and a pair of k501s on ebay...yea downhill is downhill

I'm surprised that a lot of the younger people have higher numbers of posts, but this may be directly related to the time you can spend on the computer forum-ing away...you guys should wait until you're looking for work in college, the payoff is higher for less work

I guess it helps every bit of it when you do anything at an early age. I sure wish I could've started earlier. But I do have to wonder how can 15, 16 year old kids are able to supply 5 grand for his "hobby". I'm pretty sure market basket isn't paying $30.00 an hour and provide free education.

I'm 18 and including the wadia 301 I'm in the process of buying, I have about $8000 in audio. I did it through building gaming computers and selling them on ebay and locally, and then investing the proceeds in the tech industry. Nvidia (NVDA) tripled my money alone. Bought them at 21.60, they went to 60 then split and are now at 44 and change after the split. I had $3000 in them plus margin when they were at 21.60, do the math

Very well. I always thought it's better to invest early but that was a very smart move. How did you get into investing?
