hello my fellow audio enthusiasts

i recently  bought my first pair of  Circumaural headphones, the hdj-2000's from pioneer and the midle of the earpads seem to hurt my ears (the rubbing of my ear against the hard inner circle of the earpad) if i wear them for too long and i was hoping if anyone here had any sugestions of what i could do about it

I have the same problem but only on my left ear for some reason. I just got a hobby knife and a piece of foam from a mattress pad and cut a thin half moon  shape  to cover the area that my ear pushes against. i insert it behind the cloth of the ear pad, the half moon shape is so the foam doesn't block the opening of the driver. you can' make the foam to thick or it will affect your sound anyway because it will push the cup away from your ear slightly. I used mattress pad foam because its not very dense.   Its definitly better but I think my left ear must be strange because even with padding it hurts after a while but it takes a lot longer now. :frowning2:
