I'm a long time fan of the HD600's with the Zu cable. I'm considering upgrading to the HD650's and using my zu cable. Do most users of the HD600 like the HD650? Do the 650's have that same style sound but better or are they a departure in style for Senn.?

I received a great quote from TTVJ...do they have some kind of trial period where you can return cans if you don't love them?

If most HD600 owners liked the HD650 more, they'd get it. The price difference is not that much. I'd pick-up the HD650 in a heartbeat if I considered it to be a genuine SQ upgrade, which I don't.

I highly suspect most owners of the HD600 haven't spent significant time the HD650 so don't know which they prefer. In addition the price difference in most cases is pretty large.

If you're looking for comparisons, it's probably best to search and go back to early reviews. Many moved to the newer phones and some went back. Overall most that moved stayed.

TTVJ and Headroom both have 30 day return policies.

Well, in Canada, the HD600 retails for $600, the HD650 for $650.

In terms of used prices, the HD600 is around $180, while the HD650 is as low as $250. The difference isn't massive, especially considering how much more most of us will spend on amps and sources to complement these cans.
