Hey guys, I recently got the Sennheiser HD 25-1 ii's and I'm loving them. The only question I have is how do the ear pads affect sound? I'm using the pleather for now but would switching to the velour affect sound at all?

I own them, but i haven't changed pads. Still using the stock ones...im also interested on this.

velour, no sound changes, but a hell of a lot more comfortable

just change them out and see for yourself.  only you truly know what you'll like better

I thought they affected the sound (pleather was bassier), but I can't be sure. Read too much about how it would change the sound, so my brain was already expecting a difference.
 
Velour is much more comfortable, though. Pleather might be good for cold weather, but where I am--hot and humid Singapore--that never happens.
