Quick question about the HD 25-1's...

On Amazon there is the HD 25-SP II for £99

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sennheiser-HD-25-SP-II/dp/B000TDXPSC/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1300898305&sr=8-3

And the HD 25-1 II for £142

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sennheiser-Closed-Back-Headphones-Professional-Monitoring/dp/B000TDZOXG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1300898305&sr=8-1

What are the basic differences between these?

I need something to use on the bus / train (Don't like IEMs) listening to stuff like Pink Floyd and Radiohead mainly. I'm also looking at the PX 210's but i've heard that active noise cancellation is fairly hit and miss?

FYI: I measured the ambient noise on the bus on my iPhone @ 80dB. I'll be driving these unamped from an iPhone 4.

Cheers,

They both share the same sound signature but HD25-1-II is apparently a higher quality version of the same sound signature and has a more sturdier headband. They both isolate the same.

MAKE YOUR OWN HD25-1's you can order each part off sennheiser's website the cups with drivers, headbands, cable, pads so on for a fraction of the price.

Thanks for the info, actually decided to go with the PX200II i for its full iPhone compatibility. I hate having to fish out my phone just to skip a track etc.

Spent the remaining budget on a FiiO E7 amp/DAC which should give a major boost to my Laptop and PC as well. Curious to see how it will handle my HD595's or even 650's...

I'm at University currently so i've been using my HD650's unamped from my PC's onboard ever since my X-Fi died, just dont have space for a big amp here so i'm hoping the E7 could be a decent compromise? (I'm aware its probably a major insult to the HD650's but my budget and desk space is tight).
