Basically, I have the K702s and love many things they do, especially their soundstage, but I am looking for some headphones that are more universal in their ability to play varying genres well. My eyes have fallen up the Beyer DT990 Pros or just the DT990s.

Anyone out there have any advice or knowledge about how they compare to the AKG K702s. I admit, I posted this before using the search function, so maybe the answer is already out there.

Anyways, this is what I am looking for:

1. An ample amount of bass. I have the DT770 Pro 250ohms, and find their bass to be to my liking most often. I like to feel the drums punch. Impact.
2. Clarity, or that sparkle that the K702s do so well.
3. Soundstage. I love the width of the K702s soundstage.
4. Finally, COMFORT. I haven't found a pair of headphones more comfortable than Beyer DT770s. Love the pads.

Cost ~$200-300 max. I will probably buy used off the forum.

More or less, I am looking for the K702s with a bit more slam/bass impact.

I am open to other Beyer models, as well as other brands. Open cans is what I am looking for.
