When it is winter-cold, I wear a cap when I walk around outside. But it always make me look like I have bed-head when I take the cap off.

Are there any hats/caps for winter that do not mess up your hair. Or, how do you manage this issue?

Maybe I need to go with a jacket with a hood.

If the hat stretches when you put it on, it will contract while you wear it, pulling back some of the top layer of hair...messing up your hair.
Get a hat that isn't tight/doesn't require stretching to put on, and the material doesn't grip your hair much.
I'm having the same issue...any recommendation to save time?

Cut your hair really short - no one will know once you take your hat off. I've been keeping it short for the past few years and have come to prefer it. Low maintenance and it looks the same when you take your hat off.

Yeah, multiple.
But then again I have 6-9mm hair, so not much to mess up anyway.

Turnaround,
The guillotine cut goes horizontal from the Adam's apple back to the other side of the spine - no more worries about the cold.

if people without hair can do then you can certainly do it
