I wonder if getting that new Wiim Ultra Pro and feeding the Gustard via Optical would be any better than the internal LAN streamer. Anyone tested a weird solution like that out?
I had eversolo a6 as a streamer (source for r26) but the internal renderer in R26 has better sound quality, so probably the wiim as a source will be even worse...

Yeah, I was just curious about these cheaper external streamers that would add the MAX bitrate option back to my Tidal Connect.
It sounds crap, don't even try.
Haha you're right. I mean I guess what can you ask for at 300? Pretty impressive features for that price!

Agree with SpursForEver, Im using Tidal connect with r26 and the bitrates are right..

I think these Wiim streamers are really good for the money, but there is something special in implementation of the gustard renderer...

Second that, infact I sold my Eversolo. Using R26 only currently.
I had a Wiim Ultra on trial for its convenience, but it didn't work as I wanted.
Went back to the R26 synced with a Squeezebox Touch for display and convenient control of LMS with a one for all remote
Will wait for a streamer with better ADC inputs for grammophone and line to DSP

Hi, I currently have a WiiM Ultra connected to a Gustard R26 via USB. Initially, I wanted to test the WiiM and return it, but after long-term use, especially as a streamer via the USB port to the Gustrad DAC, it plays better for me than the Gustrad itself, so I kept the WiiM. Additionally, the WiiM has a very good phono input and I can stream hooks from the turntable via USB to the Gustrad in the highest quality. This works perfectly.
I wonder if anyone else uses WiiM as a streamer with the Gustard R26 DAC via USB.

I connected the R26 to my iPad via USB. While everything was going well, the sound stopped and I could not connect my device again. The problem was not solved. I am currently listening via BT connection. What should I do?

I assume you've tried restarting all devices? And when restarting I would have all of them disconnected and then reconnect after. I know this is basic stuff so I don't mean to talk down to you, but I can't hurt to discuss these things

That's interesting. So you like the sound more from WiiM then the LAN output of the r26 ?
