Thanks for your help 👍🏻

Everything is setup as needed but the Core don’t find the R26. Every Raspi or other type of Roon Endpoint works perfectly.

That is a bit frustrating… maybe I should reflash the Renderer Image but I don’t know if this is possible 😅
Dominic follow Zombies advice doing so will fix issues most of the time .

Damn my Gustard is making a bit of a high pitch sound now. I had it turned off for a week while I was out of town. It is very high pitch so it is almost unnoticeable, but when the room is quiet you can hear it. Not with headphones on. When you turn it off it still makes the sound. Changing the PCM NOS filter from OFF to ON changes the frequency of the sound for some reason. Has anyone figured this one out? I remember people were talking about a loud hum earlier, but this is a quiet high pitch frequency that is irritating.

Contact Gustard or the dealer. I once sent a Micromega DAC back because of a high pitch sound from inside the box.

Not sure what you mean.
Network switch and fiber convertors are all connected to linear power supply’s, which are connected to a Puritan 156. R26 will also be plugged into the Puritan 156.
Most have no idea how much noise effect‘s sound quality not until it’s reduced, moving from a big city high rise to a 50 year old house a couple years ago the battle to reduce RF , EMI noise continued even using a Puritan conditioner a Entech noise meter numbers dropped significantly however after extensive electrical upgrades were completed the conditioner left its own signature on the music most noticeable with a dac plugged into the conditioner.
It was easy to demonstrate plug the dac into the wall receptacle , dedicated line then switch into the conditioner first noticed transients we’re blunted I suppose if I spent more time farting around I’d find other sonic issues.

Optical fibre input is available in only some high priced dacs me thinks if dacs in the price range of the Gustard including for servers / streamers would be a large sonic leap forward . Up until recently I never liked the sound of internet radio it was sterile and dead sounding to me no matter the station I ended up using a 50 year old Marantz receiver tuner for FM broadcast during my entire work day . It was just recently a friend brought over a English Electric switch and replaced cat 8 cable , the differences in sound quality was really eye opening, all it did was reduce noise thats riding along with the signal right into your component though I am content with everything now the optical fibre route can wait .

Why wait?!? Going optical fiber is only like $100.

I don’t think you understand my application.

I am using fiber media convertors that convert the copper Ethernet to optical fiber and then back again to copper Ethernet. One media converter converts the incoming signal from Ethernet to optical. An optical cable is then connected to the media converter, which in turn connects to a SECOND media converter. The network signal then gets reconverted from optical back to Ethernet. This completely eliminates any electrical noise from the signal path.
2 fiber convertors plus fiber cable cost $100.

Both network switch and fiber converter will be powered by a linear power supply.

You can find the last firmware v1.3 on gustard's website. http://www.gustard.cn/?page_id=8956
Easy to flash with a good usb-c cable. The dac must be fully of.
Another possible cause: I read somewhere one person had to open the dac to push the sd card back in it's slot in order to make the streamer start. It had moved during the transport.

All the way with fibre optical, streamer server dac I think it’s useless fibre optic only to use a copper cable into a standard Lan input

Simple sales pitch. Most buyers already decided to buy a DAC, but surplus sales is to convince the buyers to buy all kinds of gadgets and boxes. That's were the profit is. I bought the R26 to have one box instead of four. Simple is better.
😂😂😂 ok guy
You think that article is a sales pitch for products that they don’t sell, make no profit from, benefits every persons system that streams digital music, and costs a whopping $100 on Amazon?

Sure, fiddle with your boxes, cables and gadgets to your hearts desire. Audiophilia nervosa and confirmation bias are strong forces. Good luck.
