R26 has a steaming unit built in. You need just bubble upnp app to stream your music to r26. Since your dx300 has rca out and usb out, you could also connect directly to r26Is anyone using an R26 with tubes? Just wondering how they would mesh. I'm using a Wa22 and using my dx300 dap as my dac and source. I'm interested in the R26 but don't really understand some of the technical talk going on. I guess I'm just curious if the R26 would pair well with tubes and will I be good using my dap as source with R26. Also if I use dap will I be missing out on better sound quality?

For the moment I'm sticking with my Topping D70s, I was very(very
) tempted by the 1-11 sales to push the order button but for a few % I'm still confused about a few (possible) issues: the hum, the very long burning in, when leaving it on what about the display life, not needing the onboard streaming because of having 'quite good' streamer, the sound because I don't know how much % is left in my system to notice any real difference, the front of the unit with the curved display which is appealing in a way but don't match my other equipment.
So I'm looking forward to maybe a version 2 or maybe I will order it in two weeks time and lost the promotion

The dx300 has a 4.4mm line out. I guess I could get a 4.4mm to dual rca to connect to the R26 and then connect r26 to wa22 with xlr. I didn't know about downloading bubble upnp. Ive never used it with anything. How would I stream with the dx300? Bluetooth?R26 has a steaming unit built in. You need just bubble upnp app to stream your music to r26. Me too. I also have the Topping D70s and I’m happy for now.. I’ll wait till next year to see if Gustard have ironed out any problems before I jump. For the moment I'm sticking with my Topping D70s, I was very(very) tempted by the 1-11 sales to push the order button but for a few % I'm still confused about a few (possible) issues: the hum, the very long burning in, when leaving it on what about the display life, not needing the onboard streaming because of having 'quite good' streamer, the sound because I don't know how much % is left in my system to notice any real difference, the front of the unit with the curved display which is appealing in a way but don't match my other equipment.

There is no real problem. Only discussions about a very tiny noise coming sometimes from the front panel. Noise that you cannot hear when you are at more than 15cm from it. The rest is your choice. I left it always running for 3 weeks, now it is in standby each nightMe too. I also have the Topping D70s and I’m happy for now.. In my book it is a great dac.. but I didn't hear the d70s and cannot compare.
There were three different "problems": hum, physical noise from a xformer and the display buzz. The hum and physical xformer noise could have other reasons. I asked, but nobody answered. What remains of the "problems" is a very faint buzz from the display. Probably nothing to worry about as all golden ears here would already have noticed the effect on the sound quality. There is no real problem. I received my unit on Wed 11/09/22 and burning it in continuedly for 4 days. So far, there is no noise or problem as described above. The sound is getting better and better every single day. There were three different "problems": hum, physical noise from a xformer and the display buzz. Has anyone used coaxial wth the R26? I'm looking at connecting my dx300 to the R26 when I buy it. I'm trying to figure out what the best way to do this would be.

Ok cool. I'm trying to figure out what I need to use my dx300 as source before I order the R26. I've asked on the dx300 page and have had a few responses but nothing definite on what the best option would be .I use coax to connect my CD transport to the R26 - works perfectly, best sound ever!

Same here, sounds fantastic.I use coax to connect my CD transport to the R26 - works perfectly, best sound ever!
I got mine on Monday 11/7 and leave It on. No noise whatsoever even in standby mode. I tried LAN with HQP upsampled to DSD512 and 705K PCM without issues. LMS with UPNP is also fine.I received my unit on Wed 11/09/22 and burning it in continuedly for 4 days. So far, there is no noise or problem as described above. The sound is getting better and better every single day.
