Hi everyone,

congratulations to whoever bought this excellent DAC.

Has anyone tested it with UPnP Apps? Is LAN playback smooth and jam-free? sounds good?

Many ythanks in advance!
I think Sandu tested a bit on LAN with roon, i remember mentioning something about the sq. And thanks :)

Just received the response from Gustard:
"Thank you for your choice, your satisfaction is our greatest motivation.
NOS is pure NOS and cannot adjust the volume. Select ON for the second and third lines of the menu."

I've owned the X26 for about 6 months now. Really like it.
It's one weakness is soundstage, it's not bad, but it's not expansive. Best heard on speakers.

Wasn't clued in on this product until just today, once I was I instantly bought it.

I'm hoping this can deliver close to the same technical performance as X26, while gaining better soundstage and timbre.

I have DI-20HE / Hydra-Z+ZPM / SU-6 / U18 (and a few others) DDC to try with it.
Can directly compare to my X26 / Zodiac Gold / Ear 192 Dacute DACs.

Will post back here once it arrives.
Wow…you have a collection of DDC.

I am not sure what this means. “Pure NOS” is not so specific.

I guess what we all like to know is whether NOS really turns off oversampling or just uses a linear interpolation filter (like with Denafrips).

Since volume is disabled i really think it is pure NOS, no filter used, which is how i perceived the sound. Well unless some expert weigh in on the fact, I will have to believe what the manufacturer said :)

I think the selling point of R26 is the UPnP though. With a good network cable, I can play via UPnP just through my Samsung phone a better sound than when I use Lumin streamer connected to R26. That is a big savings! I think users should just stay with R26 without U18 and C18 and enjoy the UPnP. That is a bargain for this sound quality, considering R26 already does a streamer plus dac. Beware though, different phones sound different. I found it sounds best with my Samsung Note 20 using BubbleUPnP, iPhone with MConnect does not sound as good.
Ray, thank you very much for this update.
This is great news for me, because after several experiences with StreamerDAC and StreamerBridge (Node 2i and Lumin U1 Mini included), I wanted a product that sounded really good.
I had some doubts about the compatibility of Gustard R26 with BubbleUPnP, because I was afraid of some flow interruptions when playing Hi-Res files, but yours is great news.
Have you tried listening to Hi-Res 192Mz / 24bit files via Qobuz or Tidal? Was the listening fluid and uninterrupted?
Thank you very much for your feedback on the R26!

? Bubbleupnp is only 44.1 max and Mconnect only 48 max
