What is the OCK-2S? HAven't seen that anywhere except your aliexpress link. Even the manufacturer website doesn't list a OCK-2S?
I have the LHY OCK-2 and am very happy with it, just wondering if this is a real product or not?
Ditto, have been wondering same for the same reason. Noting that LHY do seem to have a TaoBao store (Tigerfish audio) which may be the source of much of the LHY product that appears on AliX (resold at a margin if still cheaper than LHY’s English language website hosted by Beatechnik) and has a slightly wider range than the latter.

Indeed, a quick search brings up this:

https://world.taobao.com/item/822010086951.htm

Pricing on Taobao quite a bit lower still, but there’s the extra freight forwarding and translation services costs.. which will narrow the margin a little. I’ve never bought from there, but there may be others on here who have and can recommend a good agent.

🤣 I think need to download the Taobao app to see the link. Not sure if the Taobao app does translates to English for other countries.

See if the QR code will work.

Per this comment on that product page maybe the shipping is easier now..

Taobao now provides cross-border shipping, cross-border direct shipping and other services

Re the claimed phase noise of -110dB/1Hz offset, LHY got into hot water previously for claiming this spec for its OCK-1 and -115dB/1Hz for its OCK-2, independent tests of the OCK1 especially measured well below this. After which they removed the claimed specs. You’d hope they’d have learned their lessons but I’d be more comfortable if this claim was on the LHY/Beatechnik product pages, asAliX and Taobao are like the Wild West.

Yes. My thoughts too that they are trying to address the issue of measurements. Now that only the OCK-2S has a measurement.

Also, the linear power supply (with the ability to adjust it to exactly into 8.25 Volts) and a good BNC (50ohms) cable is mandatory to get most from this clock. I have read so much good things about a Harmonic Technology Digital Copper III 50Ω cable so i bought it. LPS i bought is this one:

https://www.audiophonics.fr/en/hifi...supply-emi-rfi-filter-9v-2a-25va-p-15143.html
I am thinking of getting another LHY Dc power supply. Not sure if they have the right voltage. My HT cable is already on the way. Probably earlier than the clock. 😅

The LPS in the link provided is cheap, adjustable and at least in Europe, Audiophonics has a good reputation, so considering that i need exactly 8.25V for the clock to work optimally, i did chose this one. Never had ability to compare it with a more hi-end PSU's but that thing works and i'm glad with purchase.

LHY AUDIO OCK-2S 10MHz reference clock generator

CHARACTERISTICS:

6 outputs, independent drive/isolation Optimization and upgrade/overall performance greatly improved

Near-end phase noise ≤-110dBc @1Hz*Continuously explore clock performance

Since the release of OCK-1 and OCK-2, we have received a lot of praise from audiophiles at home and abroad for these two clock products. In order to further improve the sound quality of this clock, we have made a comprehensive upgrade based on OCK-2 and released this new OCK-2S reference clock generator.

COMPARED WITH OCK-2, ITS UPGRADES INCLUDE:
  • Upgraded to SC-cut OCXO constant temperature crystal oscillator with near-end phase noise index of -110dBc @1Hz;
  • Add an isolation transformer to the square wave output circuit to achieve full independent isolation of 6 outputs;
  • Optimize the OCXO crystal frequency modulation voltage reference circuit to make the output frequency more stable;
  • Use gold-plated BNC output terminals that fully correspond to the clock output circuit impedance;
  • Optimize signal and power wiring to further improve the purity of output signals;

INSIDE:

  • 6 groups of independent output drive and isolation circuit design
  • SC cut OCXO ultra low phase noise constant temperature clock
  • EMI AC filter
  • CLC three-stage filter
  • High speed rectification and filtering
  • Three independent LT3042+PNP architecture
    • Provide ɯV power supply to constant temperature crystal oscillator, mainboard, frequency
    • modulation reference circuit respectively
  • Talema transformer

SPECIFICATIONS

Number of ports: 6 outputs (3*square wave/3*sine wave)

Output impedance: Square wave: 50 ohm x 2; 75 ohm x 1 (default) Sine wave: 50 ohm x 2; 75 ohm x 1 (default)
Please contact customer service to customize the output impedance before placing an order

Frequency stability: <±5ppb

Frequency accuracy: < ±0.05ppm

Near-end phase noise: ≤-110dBc @ 1Hz Offset (typical)

Short and stable: <±2x10:12 @1S

Warm-up time: 15 minutes @ basic warm-up / 60 minutes @ full warm-up

Product power consumption: Preheating 8W/working 5W

External dimensions: 240(width)×50(height)×175(depth)mm

Product accessories: Host x1/AC power cord x1

Nice! I guess for me, getting LHY power supply is nearer to where I am😅

Well done mickey! 😁
Anyone going to try this...I am sort of regretting my Leo clock...

How big of an improvement this DAC would be over Hifiman's EF400 in real world terms? Not interested in DSD or Roon or whatever, just my library of flac's and Burson Soloist as the amp. Thanks
I recently switched from a topping e70 (which I assume is basically about the same level as the dac inside the ef400) to the r26. Best I can describe it is that it is amazing. For the longest time I was a skeptic of using words like "soundstage" or "imaging" to describe differences in dacs, especially in headphone systems where the actual driver is basically 3cm from our ears. Well it took $1500 to understand it but this dac makes all the previous delta-sigma dacs I've listened to (mainly stuff from topping/smsl/fiio) basically sound like a flat 2d wall of sound. The r26 is very musical, highly detailed in its presentation whilst maintaining a smooth sound signature. Bass and mids also seem to have more body and presence than before. Great paired with my cayin tube amp and a zmf. It really makes me headbang more to my music than the e70. I have this plugged in straight from my gaming pc via one of the budget canare usb cables from aliexpress (I bought this to reduce noise) for $20.

Guys, do we know what is R26's impedance for the external clock? Any cable recommendations for the clock? I'm running LAN inputs from HQplayer, and figure I should try an external clock. Thanks.
R26 has an 50 Ohms input for the Clock. This particular cable has a stellar reviews everywhere i did read. Personally i did not tried any other cable so no comparisons from me but yeah, sound is good.

Harmonic Technology Digital Copper III 50Ω cable.

Hello,
funny, I was just about to ask for a BNC cable.
However, I wanted to make one myself and am actually looking for suitable and good 50 ohm plugs.
Does anyone have any tips?
I have a good OCC cable.

I'm still wondering whether it's worth buying or making one.
My Singxer Su 2 with a standard cable is slightly worse than the K2 clock.
Also a tick warmer, and a tick flatter at the top end.
I blame the cable because it is only a standard cable and nothing of high quality.
I think it could be better with a better DDC because the Su2 is also a bit older.
