Here we go again.........I'd say 7% of this thread is dealing with this issue. I got so fed up I went out and bought a cheap Windows laptop but to be fair I also use it for other windows only speaker software. Sorry you're having trouble Andy, some have had success with third party programs like Balena Etcher, but I was never able to update with my Mac. Used to borrow my partner's Windows rig, but then she got a Mac too. She's very happy. She listens to Spotify on $80 earbuds.
Gustard has been like a brick wall on this but maybe if more of us write to them and complain they'll relent. Don't get too down, you'll get there and there are a lot of helpful and clever people here..........
So, I have installed Parallels on my Mac and updated the FW... BUT the display is now showing 'UNLOCK' when I select IIS.
Any ideas how to fix this?

Operator error... had the wrong HDMI cable attached. Hooked up with the correct one and bingo!
Does the new firmware do anything else apart from changing the menu to large?

You also have the ability to sleep the screen.
I'd love the ability to "sleep" that damn pulsing power button when it's off/in standby. Distracting when I'm watching movies (my R26 is below my TV) so I usually reach around back and turn it fully off.

You can! Scroll down the menu to POWER LED and choose Off

So without reading through this massive thread, basically I need another DAC except the Musician Pegasus because I have two separate systems. Would the R26 be similar? I think I have a good deal on a used unit. Is R26 considered the best around €1000?

He rearly responds to his YT videos though.. What about the R26 without comparison to the Pegasus?
I heard both on my system, and I can say that the Musician Pegasus is very, very close R26 on PCM.
On DSD the distance is higher, R26 handles better with DSD files, and it's more pleasant to hear DSD on R26, it's better rendered...
How sharp are the trebles? I am looking for a soft treble representation similar to the Cayin RU7 dongle.

Bottom: Pi2AES, Aune XC1, fiber optic media converters
By "complete," I mean I'm considering a Holo Red as a source next so that I can take HQPlayer oversampling up to 705.4/768 kHz... but first, I want to add an Auteur Classic to the collection. So... y'know... not at all complete...

Suggesting an LPS (or the like) on your FMCs (if there was/were not). A 5V Jameco Reliapro will do the job. Am using a Topping P50.
