Updated my firmware to 1.43 and spent a few hours last night listening to Spotify connect through the internal streamer and wow, it was some of the most pure enjoyment I've had listening to headphones. Everything was just hitting right and so musical. Idk if I was just in a good mood or what. I've tried the LAN port before using HQP both with and without ROON also with and without upsampling but something felt different here, everything was velvet yet not lacking any details, in fact I had a few moments of discovering new details in some tracks.

Helps I was listening on my 007 which is notoriously warm/smooth and also had my tube-pre on. But still, I've listened to that chain before (but via USB, not the internal streamer) and don't recall it being that enjoyable. I didn't want to leave my desk. Could have also been my new transformer box for my STAX though. I've listened to it before but this was my first extended session with it.

Chain was: Spotify connect via optically isolated LAN > R26 > Freya+ (tubes on) > Holo Bliss > my custom Lundahl transformer box > SR-007 MK1

The first photo has appeared in the singer Holo red streamer threath.

Unfortunately, no technical details are known.
Glad I didn’t wait!
I was hoping that Holo was going to put a streamer into the Cyan.

After buying an Audalytic AH90, questioning Gustard, finding out there was no NOS or DSD direct , then canceling my order, Gustard changed their mind.
Firmware for DSD direct by Christmas!
Pretty awesome that Gustard listens to us!

Are you using your router as a switch?
Fiber media converters will definitely help.
Everything is on the first page.
Router/switch>FMC >FMC> 18in Cat 5>R26

Thanks,

Router is not used as switch, we have fiber> router > CAT8 > R26

Just want to know how will it help, why it will help as my router is already fed with fiber.

Your fiber internet has absolutely no effect on your DAC.
It's the connection from router to DAC that needs to be converted to fiber. This makes it impossible for electrical noise from your router to make it inside your dac.

How to do this is on the first page.

Thanks @gammi and @camrector

Is this what I can do?

Get a FMC like this, https://amzn.to/3szlVoZ

Ethernet out from Router to FMC in, then 2 boxes conecting via fiber optic.
Ethernet out from FMC to R26?

It would have been simple if I could attach a image and explain.
Everything you need is listed in the post that is linked on the first page.

Fyi: LHY has just released a FMC with low LPS and OXCO clock - https://www.beatechnik.com/fmc
Cool. Should be able to buy just one of these and use it on the DAC side. The other FMC on the computer side should be fine as a cheap unit since any noise from it is isolated away from the LHY FMC by the fiber.

Also can anyone explain what the point of reclocking Ethernet is? The LHY FMC has a 10MHz OCXO for reclocking. Shouldn't matter when the LAN packets get there, unlike over USB where timing is critical to how the signal is reconstructed. Can even completely drop packets and it should be fine, it just resends.
