I have also tried to play with buffer/timers and it is set to gapless on bubbeUPNP no difference.
When I use Audirvana latest version that can stream to LAN and therefore to R26 lan input on a Windows 10 box with minimal cpu power then there are no dropouts/pauses...but the sound is not as good at with bubbeUPNP directly to R26.
Still no clue to where the limitation is
Yes, it bl**dy irritating those things. It should work with standard settings. If you have time and energy you could find the forum and maybe they can give advice. It is possible to set if the track is sent as PCM or as FLAC. As PCM the R26 doesn't do any processing and if FLAC is sent down the line the R26 does the precessing. It also about FLAC headers and timing info. So smths can be suboptimal. The pic shows the settings for the LMS UPnP plugin (it is NOT for BubbleUPnP)

Thanks for the tips
I found one setting in bubbeUPNP under Renderers setting (Gustarender...).
FFmpeg decoding: I had set it to OFF. Setting it to "Always use" the it seems like it stops having breaks so far ..👍
When set to off the files are played as Flac and when set to "always use" then they are played as FFmpeg:wav - same resolution.
Now I have to test if there are SQ difference between them.
As I understand it then bubbeUPNP app just acts as a controller and music is going from lan/streamer service to R26 directly so it must be the R26 that makes the conversion, right?

Let's hope for the best. If the streaming service sends the stream like FLAC, then R26 would transcode to PCM. I don't know if BubbleUPnP also has a transcoding service. In the case of local FLACs served by the LMS I can set the server to transcode to PCM and send the stream in full PCM resolution over the network to the streamer that just lets it pass through OR send the stream as FLAC on the network and let the streamer transcode to PCM (saves bandwidth). In this case I think the streaming service (Tidal/Qobuz) sends FLACs. Please note also that R26 doesn't need any picure/text media content as it doesn't have any screen (see my earlier pic).
I did a search and it seems BubbleUPnP has some form of transcoding server. See my primitive search: https://duckduckgo.com/?t=ffsb&q=Bu...uttering+hi-res+flac+streams&atb=v92-1&ia=web

Sell the DAC. Buy a record player. Be happy.

DAC arrived an hour ago.
Firmware version 11/6/2022
Set up was a breeze. No buzzing or hum. Instantly recognized by Roon.
LAN connection playing hi res perfectly.
Sounds fantastic out of the box.

Only issue

I ordered a black one and they sent a silver 😢
Guess I’m living with it.
Which seller? I need silver one 😅

Same thing happened to me, I was crestfallen! Sold it here to another member for a small loss and ordered another one, the seller was good about it and gave me a steep discount on the second one and I had it in 12 days, worth the wait. Oh boy I really wanted to plug that silver one in but I resisted!

Oh I’m playing it. I might return it. It was through Amazon. I’m waiting to hear back to see what they want to do.
I don’t want to wait for another one!

oh yeah that is a newer firmware huh? Maybe that one would randomly work for me...
I'm a Mac user too. Even with my GF's Widows laptop, updating was a total PITA. I wish Gustard was more informative about the updates, I have no idea what's in them and how urgent it might be. I mean, are we going to accidentally discover that suddenly the R26 runs Tidal Connect when someone stumbles on it?

I find the silver one beautiful. Mine is like that too. They wanted to send it to me in black but I specifically asked for a silver R26😉
