Hi all,

I Found that putting Grado Comfy pads on a PX100 improves the sound a bit! If you dislike the stock PX100 sounds, you're not alone. I love the sound but wanted to experiment to find a way to improve it. Through all my experimenting, I found you can slip Grado Comfy pads over the stock PX100 pads, and it's a perfect fit.

Granted the PX100 looses it's smoothness, but gains more detail, air, controlled bass, and much bigger soundstage. Now you won't just put the Comfy pads over the PX100 pads, you need to add some slight filtering in. What I did was cut some paper towel into some small circles and put one piece in each. Without some filtering from the paper towel the sound is bright, and can be a bit thin. A dding the paper towel cuts the upper frequencies a bit and lets the sound become fuller.

So this is how it goes:

1) Cut paper towel into a circle, just big enough to fit into the Comfy pad. I recommend Brawny.

2) Put one piece of the paper towel into each Comfy pad.

3) Slip the Comfy pads over the stock PX100 pads.

4) Enjoy
