GS Audio Impressions Thread

From what I've read on a local site Ali has signed up for the Import One-Stop Shop (IOSS) which means that taxes will be payed to Ali and the government collects the tax from Ali every few months. Packages will still arrive like before if under €150,-. That said over €150,- will be the same as always with import fees (maybe minus the tax).
Also taxes won't be collected if it's amount is under €1,- so up to about €5,- is technically still free but I doubt Ali will take that into account.
Processing fees have also decreased which is nice but they're still substantial on a smaller purchase.

As for the EU warehouses while probably more expensive than China without taxes it should be cheaper than with taxes. The closest one to me in Liège is still being build so I can't really use that route yet and I doubt many audio gear sellers will put some stock in that warehouse. Probably only the big ones like ShenzenAudio and Linsoul.
Maybe Ali will route "stock" (packages) trough it as a work around when it's done

I guess I'll see how it plays out as my GT2 and GT12 just arrived in my country
Thank you for the information. Please let me know how it goes with the customs. I hope you won't end up paying for tax.

In the past, I had no issue with the orders, even with the ones over 250$. Now I wonder whether it can get through the customs with no payment when I order sth above that 150€ threshold. If it's possible then it'd be great.

"Maybe Ali will route "stock" (packages) trough it as a work around when it's done. "

I'm also expecting a work around like this. There were already some examples I've seen. A seller had offerings from different locations - Russia, Italy, France along with China- and people who ordered the packages from the locations within the EU were complaining that the package was shipped actually from Chinese location. So, we might see that implementation. A few AE agents told me that they're working on this (they didn't exactly said we have workaround but I understood like sth on the way and they can't tell) so maybe... Maybe there'll be some solutions...

Damn, that super obscure IEM looks like the second coming of Christ or something. Everything in the tier list got slightly nerfed at best, some IEMs got completely gutted and thrown into the blender of obsolescence.

Will check these out, hopefully you didn't get a magical set and all the other units suffer from unit variance.

It was the star ratings that changed. Not the Ranking in my database.

(although the lz a7 is demoted to s-, forgot about that lol.)

Some rankings don't match with the score you gave to some IEMs.

The Jade Audio EA3 is in E+ Ranking but you gave it a 3/5 score (Anything with an E+ ranking is like a 1.5/5 at best.)

Ibasso IT00 is in B+ ranking but was given a 2.5/5 score after the budget IEM apocalypse

I have both of these, the IT00 is much better than the EA3 which is unusable if you are treble sibilant (I'm luckily not.)

Anyone have the GD3B? Just wondering if there's much difference between the GD3A and GD3B.
The graphs are a fair bit different in how they handle the treble transition, with the A exhibiting a more gradual treble lift and the B having a more pop/rock friendly treble shelf.

Edit for pics and stuff:

There is less mids recession in the GD3B, so they will be more pronounced compared to the tuning of the GD3A. The GD3B is also more sensitive and lower impedance. If your source isn't able to output at around 1.5-2 ohm impedance or less, then you may not want the GD3B due to how a higher impedance output may color the sound from them. Not usually an issue, but worth consideration when you're dealing with relatively low impedance sets.

IT00 is around the same price as the GD3A thats why it got butchered harder with the score ratings.

And I dont factor in the price with my dabase rankings.

btw, seems the ST8B´s bass driver is the Sonion 38d1xj007mi/8a. Probably the same as the BGVP DM8 and the Dunu SA6.

Looks like someone in my server ordered the ST6B and the ST8B!

That is one bass monster driver that Sonion developed. Like, the graph for it doesn't go down to 20Hz. It goes down to 10.

That driver certainly has a good reputation.

Their Acupass is well known for having a great bass for a BA driver.

I guess they wanted more of a pronounced treble shelf if they opted for the ST6B over the ST6A

They aren't quite as dissimilar as I initially thought, though, so I guess it comes down to whether you want more 16-20kHz extension.

The ST6B looks like it got more upper-treble with a bigger peak at 3k I believe. I would go for the ST6A going from the graph.

Not sure about the treble on the ST8B though...it reminds me of the GD11...
