ok since I am not so fluent in english I will say this.

The 414 pads are really comfortable and they sit on the ears nicely. BUT!

The sound gets muffled and very less details. I never would immagine pads can make so much a big difference!!

The stage feel gets washed out and I feel the music is much further away from me and less detailed and present. The bass also is not good at all much worst than before.

So I hate to sacrifice comfort for quality. Maybe i can do a hole through them?

on another note I tried the 125 with no pads whatsoever! I like!! but highy uncomfrotable and abrasive to the outer ear

Did the quarter mod on the pads. Definitly got some of the deftails and clarity back.

I still prefferd the padless SR125 though SQ wise.

well, i know this sounds rough, but if you wear them alot, they break in and soften up alot, yours ears also toughen up alot also, and you get used to it, ive been wearing my grados for about 5 hours straight now and no problems.


also try washing them a few times to soften them up, ive nver done this but heard it works.

i am impressed you wore them for 5 hours i think i made it 20 mins before my ears hurt and i gave up on the stock pads.

I fixed my Grado 125 comfort problem by just hanging them on a shelf! So many other phones out there that not only sound better, but will also not make your ears bleed inside and out!
