Grado e Series

I'm completely unacquainted with Grado's, but after perusing this thread, I can't help but feel I made a mistake by ordering a pair of SR125e's, which have not yet arrived. Most people here have said that the SR 80s should be the first stop unless one is able to afford the jump to the SR225. Would you recommend I just send back the 125's when they arrive and go down to the 80s?

Having owned the SR125s, they're pretty good, but my personal "sweet spots" are the SR80e - SR225e - RS1e/PS500e - PS1000e

Just a thought, but there are going to be a lot of Grado's at the Nashville meet on September 20th if you wanna come. There were a lot last time, and we'll have the PS1000 and a lot of other new (to us) ones there as well. Thread is here if you're interested!

From your post, I take you have a budget of $100-150.00…if this is the case, the 80's are an excellent headphone and you will be saving yourself $50.00 for your future jump to another Grado. You can't go wrong with the 80's!!! Enjoy.

We've got very similar tastes. 
The same 5 models would be my choice even without the e

Thank you. Yes, although I would like to jump move up to the SR225, these are actually for a family member skeptical of audiophile value. So, I will likely return the 125 for the 80.

The 125 is better than the 80.  I would look at the cost of returning them before undoing your transaction for the better can.

Yikes--you may own more than I do!  You certainly have some that I don't which are rarer.
