I'm glad someone brought this up, I was streaming on my kindle fire with Grado SR60s and thought that is sounded pretty darn good.

Stick mount is only for mounting USB drives, it has no other functionality at all (excellent app for Root users though, beyond me why ASUS didn't include support natively for this since it is a software issue - naturally one has to wonder whether it is to try and drive users to the Cloud...).

I believe they are using their own way of doing usb audio so that the device can charge while outputting digital, the same way apple does, the way I have things working the N7 is powering the DAC thus there is no way to charge the tablet while playing digital music

It would work. Whether or not it would sound good, depends on the tablet itself.

Yeah, obviously the E11 will work with any device that has a headphone jack but as such, the sound quality will depend on the device.

Someone told me that the nexus 7 headphone port buzzes whenever the CPU is active or when you slide your finger on the screen.Is this true? has anyone here experience this problem.

Yes, there is a fair amount of CPU noise on the Nexus 7.

I've never once experienced a buzz, and never any noise caused by touching the screen. I do experience very short "clicks", i.e. sometimes the sound will cut out for a split second when the cpu is particularly busy but it happens very, very rarely for me. The exact same thing happens on my Huawei Mercury android phone but its very rare and not an issue IMO.

What headphones are you using? It will be more an issue for sensitive IEMs, so YMMV.
 
I see Supercurio confirms CPU noise in his Twitter timeline this very morning also.

I can confirm that there is some noise on the headphone output on the Nexus 7 and the sound quality is definitely not as clean as the Blackberry Playbook or IPad.

I haven't experienced noise aside from the occassional dropout I mentioned but I don't use my tablet & phone a whole lot for listening. I do wish Google would focus more on sound quality. The headphone jack in my old iPod photo got a lot louder than either my phone or Nexus tablet do and I suspect the DAC in that iPod was better too (I don't have it any more so I can't compare them).

SQ was the main reason I sent mine back - I loved the speed, the form factor and the screen
 
but most of my tablet usage is multi media - youtube, playing videos and movies and listening to music
 
and SQ destroyed it for me - I preferred even videos on my Iphone on a much smaller screen as the SQ was somuch better
