Good Portable $50 Headphones?

Sorry to be bumping, but their price rose !!! :frowning2:
Or at least on amazon. For $60 they were good... but $80's a little far out. Any headphones like the Sennheiser PX 200 II, but around $50? Sorry to bump, but thanks.

I support for Grado SR60
But not good in sound isolation.

Or Denon's series?

Grado's for portable is about the worst recommendation I've ever heard.

Minibear, have you considered the Maxwell DHP-II? They are a little under apprecieated but the folks that do have them rave about them alot.

I did consider them, but when I looked at the reviews, a lot of people (around 50% on amazon) said the band had broken on theirs. And IMO, no matter how good headphones you get, if they break, sound doesn't mean a bean.

I've got a pair of them and they seem quite sturdy to me. Very light weight. The headband is fine...I dunno, I can't imagine them being as fragile as people say. People said the same about the sony v300s and the bose triports, that they would break easily, and I've had both for a long time without problems.

Some people just don't realize that they have to be gentle with some things.

Sound wise? Incredible. No joke.
