Anyone think the noise floor on the TRON: Legacy Soundtrack is too high?

I heard plenty of noise too when I played it through my speakers, but I thought it was only my iPod's line out that made the noise. I'm going to play it through the CD player and see if the noise is still there.

After some more listening, I found noise, hissing on some tracks. I think the noise is from the synthesiser or whatever thing they used to make to sounds, it was really noticeable on the track: The Grid, I heard noise every time when the bassline in the beginning sound appeared. Other orchestral tracks I didn't hear any high noise levels.
Some tracks like: Derezzed, I am not sure if the noise is meant to be there or not since the instruments made a "noisy" sound, and the music was really complicated with many layers of different sounds.

Just throwing it out there again, Halo soundtracks were probably my favorite of all time. Halo ODST was very impressive and I believe Halo 3 won a few odd awards for it's soundtrack.

Truly an engrossing soundtrack set. If you have ever played the game with your cans on, you know exactly what I mean.

Japanese OSTs for anime are great you don't even have to like the shows or have to see them to enjoy the great music behind them.
I really think Hollywood's OST style is way too bland at times they don't have the emotion or character of this music to me.
If anyone even bothers to listen to any of it this is really great BGM.

^ Listened to half this and was won't be listening again, liked it but not my type. The Behold a Pale Horse on the other hand was amazing so much energy it's crazy. I'm purchasing ASAP.

The Halo Theme, Earth City, In Amber Clad, and Reclaimer from the Halo 2 OST are great too. Finale and Deference for Darkness from Halo 3 ODST. Roll Call and the rest of Halo 3 is awesome. Halo CE has some goodies as well. The Truth and Reconciliation suite is one of my favorites. "Halo" is a classic. Probably the most recognizable from all of the games.

Halo Reach has a different style to it IMHO. Not bad at all, just different. I don't really have a favorite yet, I haven't listened to it much.

I am surprised nobody mentioned Clint Mansell, one of my favorite composers. I recommend listening to the famous Lux aeterna (requiem for a dream OST), The Fountain, Smokin' aces and Black swan. I'm sure you'll love them!

I think I was the one who mentioned him yes this man is indeed great. He did something for Black Swan......I'll have to check.
