I'm looking for an amp about $50 or less that would would be good with my ATH-M50's. I have a fiio e5, I like it but I feel it only makes the music louder and does not much improve the overall quality. So, any thoughts?

I had the XB300's and I didn't really like the sound or build quality. They had bass but nothing else, I like my ATH-M50's a lot and was just wondering what the best amp would be for them. Does not necessarily have to amplify bass but I would like it.

Everyone wants great sound for not a lot of $$.  I don't know of any solution that will give you what you want for under $50.  iBasso T4 has a nice bass boost but cost +$100. Other than that, new bass oriented headphones would do it.

A bit over your limit, but it's got a bass toggle switch.

4 Replies in and no mention of this baby? Head-fi must be slipping.

good amp for bass? you don't need a bassy amp, you need a bassy can IMO.

did not read OP.  Yeah, you'll probably want the fio-e7 or one of those cheap ibasso models.

I have a T4D and it offers a nice bit a bass to re-0/zero
