Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

v3.9.0 is what it updated to. Pop-up asked 1st 4 the dongle & then when I connected to BT, pop~up for the cans....sorry my mistake.

For sure, the beauty of the Go Pods is that if you're ok with buying multiple IEM sets, you basically have the ability to turn any of those into wireless solutions but you'll obviously have to make some trade offs. It just comes down to preference at the end of the day. There's no right or wrong path, just the one that suits you best in your particular use case or scenario.

My use case for TWS, has exclusively been for when I'm working out, these days, running. Currently using Sennheiser CX True + which I got 2nd hand over 12 months ago, which are fine..

But, I have been drawn to BT adapters more of late, because I just love using my IE300 IEM's, the sound, comfort, isolation.. do it all for me.

I've thought of getting the Fiio UTSW5, but Fiio....
The Shure adapters seem to get good feedback, though are quite old now.
The Go pods are discounted currently here in Australia, $469 from $629..

The Shure adapters would work well in your use case as they fit quite snug and are very comfortable. The caveat to them with the IE300s would be that you need an additional adapter as the MMCX connector is a bit different on the IEx series. I actually modified my adapters a bit with a sharp knife and they work great.

I have the adapters for the IE300, as needed them for the TRN BT adapters, so all good on that front.

Just on BT technology, I notice the Shure adapters still use BT5.0 - We're up to what, 5.3 now? How much of a difference do the newer version make & longevity wise, how will they hold up?

For context, using an iPhone 12 & at times, LG V30.

Yeah, maybe 1200 USD if I recall. I got them when they came out, so not 100% on that. They sound wonderful

Some of the reviews mention the tech for the driver of the AZ-100 is based on a more expensive IEM model, i assume that is the model... how close have they come to it for the sound quality?

The 100s are much more in line with the TZ700 IEMs compared to the 80s (and 60s). I need to do more listening though over the next couple of days. They have only had the one model IEM, which is the TZ700.

I had the PI8s and returned them if you read my review on the L6s I explain why. There's a member on here that has both, the L6s and Noble Rex and he said it's clear that the L6s are superior for audio. In China, the to Geekfly brand models sell out frequently and out of stock because of their audio quality.

That something plus in the Rex5, that others don't have, is called audiodo. I had tried it on the Perl Pro, which I immediately returned. The performance was completely different.

the FBP 4 have always been the utility champions, but meh sound quality. they are good and above avarage. but nothing outstanding.
