Just to say that I have lost a lot of life-time in this thread and it looks like I am about to lose a chunk of money as I, ahem, invest...

I came looking to buy some anc iems - my only experience has been the Sony WF-1000XM4s - I have grown to find them muffled and woolly, which could be the earbuds, and buying replacements for these is not easy.

Anyway, I came here to thank you all for your comments, sad to report I have very much enjoyed reading about 200 pages of wireless iem information, opinion, and knowledge.

So, despite there being a new pair of wireless Noble's on the horizon, I have today ordered the Triumph's and I am very excited. They seem to be the most agreed upon iem on here. I might also get the Nothings as my anc companion, and then I better stop reading as I have no doubt the new Nobles will be very well received on here .... 😬 ... this may mean more investment...

If you liked Sony well enough the WF-1000XM5s are an upgrade on all fronts.
Better form factor, sound is clear and balanced, yet bass is still boosted and ANC is top tier, ambient mode is one of the best.
Feature-rich app and for me, very good call quality. At times you can find them new on Amazon for less than $200 which makes them a great daily driver.

It might be daft but I fancy a change from of iem form, and from Sony... even though the 5s sound a big upgrade on the 4s. But a really good price...

Man I don’t want to sound like a bigot here, but with all the horse buckey going on with the internet, do y’all really trust your credit cards with these foreign companies? Do they accept PayPal?
Amen. I created a separate bank account during the pandemic for all my overseas purchases. I remember back in th day one of my credit cards offered single use virtual card generation. I miss that feature.

Obviously not as sleek a solution as you get a little USB dock to charge the hooks or can use usb c cable. So case is just a pouch
Decent for £40

I can simply answer this they re not loud as pi8 different sound signature as well is it only me or the pi8 has harsh treble ! Overall build quality comfort and sound pi8 are very nice
Today Earphones Archive (a korean site) posted on squiglink the frequency response of the PI8 on a 5128 system.

https://earphonesarchive.squig.link/?share=Custom_Tilt,BnW_Pi8_(ANC)&bass=0&tilt=0&treble=0&ear=0

There is also a review.

(you need to activate subtitles)

The graph is very close to soundguys measurement. Going to equalizer section it's possible to adjust it using as a reference JM-1 or 5128-DF targets and personalize it with all the tools present on crinacle squiglink too: tilt, bass, ear gain, treble.
I highly recommend use these tools if one find his/her iem is very good except for one or two things. It's a fast learning process.
In the PI8 case is like trowing away a unique ring only because it is too loose. I would never buy something with a 10+ db peak in the high treble but since you already own it you can try adjust it.
