Smart talk is meant to work like that .audio goes to 0 volume whilst you are talking . A shame the music doesn't pause though .

Did u use the default foam tips they came with or something else.?
The foam they came with at the moment.
I think the smart talk thing should work by pausing the music or by lowering the volume, there's no point in keeping the music going at 0 volume. I hope they fix it, and yes the music should pause and I should have the option to touch the bud to return to the music if I stop chatting. There are a lot of options for the "ambient control" but I think they are messy and the touch controls are limited to those three set.

I pulled my H-ANC out of the expired TWS bin to check them out after the chatter here. They aren't terrible but the are pretty average in terms of ANC and SQ. I guess for 100 ish today they would be fine but I think you can probably do better even in that price range. Not one of Nobles better releases. The purple color is cool.
Which earbuds do you think can do better in the $100 price range for SQ and ANC? and what are your current drivers that you think are much better for SQ and ANC?

Fair question. I'm probably being too critical since I paid full price for mine. At $129.99, you could probably do worse. They are nearly 18 months old now. There are lots of great deals on TWS right now due to so much saturation in the market. Looks like $150 would get you refurbished Bose, Sony, Technics, Jabra, B&W, M&D. I'd probably take any of those over the H-ANC personally as a daily driver. But many won't offer a dual driver set up so if that's your jam and you can work with the fit, go for it. I'd say that if SQ is your top priority in that price range, then they would be a decent buy. They are large but fit decently well but probably not for exercising or anything. Someone said they went for a run with them - they would fall out of my ears within a minute.

After experimenting with a ton of ANC TWs I settled on the EarFun Air Pro 2 (Airpod form factor) and EarFun Free Pro 2 (IEM form factor) a couple of years ago- decent SQ and decent ANC.

Having said that I just got the QCg2 to see if they're "better" ;-)

This isn't saying much - you can name brands but they all come with a range of their own issues. I don't believe is a better earbuds pair for $130 which has better SQ AND ANC - which isnt plagued by issues.

Just offering my opinion - same as you. I personally wouldn't buy them at $130 and would probably just spend more money for something better but no one needs my permission to buy them so by all means, go for them.

I understand that, my question was what WOULD you buy specifically for $130, when you say you can likely do better at that price.

If u press the left gesture area it will come out of smart talk mode at least it does for mine.

Nope, the 3 were a bit of a downgrade apparently and I'm not sure the 4 have fixed that?

From reading, the 4 is a bit better for sound quality over the 3. I like that the 4 support high end APTx and LDAC so covers all the android codec options.

Tempted to give the 4 a whirl...

I need the the volume control set on the left, I listen to playlists without normalization. There are many options but only three sets for touch controls, and you can have only two. I use volume (left) and playback (right). That's the reason why the smart voice should be a sort of an automatic "pause to talk", like on the sonys.

These just got delivered, and tried pulling the left bud out of the case. Amazon Resale thinks these were in "very good" condition. I'm going to have to disagree with that...

They actually still work (as long as I don't move the earbud much), so at least I'll get to evaluate them before returning them.
