They look big buggers but no secondary stability so they're a no for me :)

From a audio perspective I haven't heard anyone praise M&D devices...But I do hope it will mean that OEMs like Sennheiser, B&W, B&O etc, will finally adopt the latest and greatest in the BT space.

I guess it will take even longer for the even smaller OEMs like Final/Noble etc...:/

CES is just around the corner too!

Yes, just what I thought, impressive from a technical/design-perspective, but from an audio perspective the M&D never seems to be impressive.

Both Sennheiser and Bang&Olufsen released their latest TWS back in 2022...Really hope they'll give us something new in 2024, with the latest Qualcomm tech. Those are one of the few companies that have the resources to actually make a TWS great from both a sound and technical perspective. Most companies falls in either end, depending on the background.

They want to get away from the Qualcomm SoC. Why Google built Tensor and Samsung has reshown interest in Exynos.
Yes I'm very aware of the fact, sadly it's not optimal for us tech/audio geeks, but from a general consumer perspective it definitely makes sense. People like us are willing to pay extra for the very best, be it in audio/tech-terms, but I can't say the same for the general consumer. Most people aren't even aware what SoC ones phone are using.

Has anyone plugged Sennheiser IE900's into Shure's true wireless adapter?

Might go full stupid and rock some $1500 "earbuds" at work :p

I currently have the Sony WF-1000XM4's and they have always made a weird driver flex noise in the left earphone and idk if I want to go XM5's or what, but I kind of just want to go full "audiophile" or whatever, like no matter what consumer grade stuff I get suet when I go back to my SE535's it's just on another level, be nice to have that everywhere. I wonder how much you loose with the Bluetooth? They do bluetooth 5 but I don't think they have AptX or anything.

Has any publication reviewed the Sennheiser Momentum 3's, B&W Ti7's and the Sony WF-1000XM5's by the same person or in a comparison?
I have the Shure TW2 hooked to my Ultimate Ears UE900 which is a 4 BA setup. You lose some with the Bluetooth, but honestly not by much and it’s worth the freedom being cable-free.

I had the Sennies with an adapter, connected to my Shure TW2 adapters. While they did sound awesome, I very very much prefer my Thieaudio Monarch MK3 with the iFi Go Pods today. They're phenomenal. Power from the iFi is stellar. The Shure are doable, but not in the same league. That said, the Shure adapters have much better transparency mode and are better for calls in my experience.

John Darko has a god video on Apple Music and their lossless statement, some interesting nuances
I know there are issues with AirPlay not being lossless, but lossless on iOS is perfect. Lossless on macOS is good, but to get automatic sample rate switching you need an app called lossless switcher, which I use and works well.

Out of the box, you need an adapter for the IE series to work with the TW2 (and other hooks as well). I modified the sleeve a bit on my TW2s, but don't regularly use my IE600s. I do however leave my IE200s connected and they work/sound great. I have listened to the 600s on them as well and was quite happy using AAC on them. Only reason I don't use them regularly is due to the swapping back and forth to wired makes me a bit nervous with the MMCx connectors potentially wearing out.

Yes Win 11, MS official Codec support SBC/AAC/AptX, and with a 3rd party AD2P driver SBC+Tweaks/AAC+Tweaks/aptX+Tweaks/aptX HD+Tweaks/LDAC+Tweaks.

MS (Win 11 at least) and Intel (AX210, not sure about older AX200) both support LE Bluetooth and the newer LE Audio.
